COMMUNITY EVENTS
We are open to the public and members on Fridays from 4 pm - 8 pm, except long weekends. In coming months we will be expanding our public opening hours to include Wednesday and Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons, once we have a liquor license and bar manager.
We are committed to seeing the North Freo Bowlo become an inclusive and vibrant social hub, offering a range of cultural activities that connect the community. Coming soon, we will launch an exciting program of activity and a calendar of events that may include community yoga, dance, choir, film nights and youth events. If you are interested in offering a community program or activity for our members, please get in touch with the NFB team - we’d love to hear from you and integrate your ideas into the Bowlo!
Venue hire for members
The North Freo Bowl is open for current members to book the venue. Paid bar service will be possible following liquor licence approvals later in the year.
Hirers will be able to bring their own food. Hirers will be expected to leave the facility as found - additional cleaning fees will apply should the hirer not leave the premises clean and tidy. Please note there is currently no oven or urn.
To book a Bowls Rink or the Ladies Lounge for private use during our Public Opening Hours, or to book an alcohol free event in the morning please become a member through Hello Clubs where you can log in and make your own booking.
Saturday afternoon and evening private hires
If you’d like to book the whole club for private and exclusive use with a volunteer host and BYO alcohol, please submit an enquiry form. This booking is suitable for parties, weddings and corporate events.
Please note once our liquor license is granted the venue will no longer be BYO.
